The philosophy of Dignum Design is to design unique, functional buildings that are pleasurable to live in. We take a holistic approach in designing not just the building, but also the entire site so to ensure the ambience and design continues to the external elements.

Sustainable principles are considered, such as natural light, air movement, solar orientation and sensitivity to the climate and surroundings to add to the functionaliity, both for now, and in the future. Materials and finishes are often varied to create interest and character. 

Recognition to this commitment to design has been given by the achievement of numerous design awards. 

Many of our designs have a strong connection with water; be it waterfront, beachfront, or water views.

Dignum Design is a small 'boutique style' practice offering a personalized service in a very relaxed manner. Operating since 1985 our approach to design is a step by step process involving and incouraging client participation, and early contractor involvement to help maintain budgets.

Our projects vary in locations from central and south-east Queensland, Northern New South Wales, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
