Lateral Building Designs provides drafting and architectural design services focusing on home designs, alteration or extension to existing homes, new commercial adventures and unit developments.
We specialise in 3d Rendered drawings and for a little extra in fees, we provide you with a 3d walkthrough of the structure giving a feel for what will be built, before any amount of site work is commence. And for those of us, that are not keen on computers, but love the tangible item, Richard, can produce a useful, but beautiful cardboard model, that you can take home and explore.
For those clients that are not local we can provide preliminary drawings in PDF format via email for you to browse at your leisure, while deciding what does or doesn't work.
With our emphasis on personal friendly service, our goal is to help take the headache away from the daunting task that building and renovating can be.

Michelle Hall is committed to designing homes that are suited to the Tasmanian climate, while still allowing the client to express their individual style and taste in their home. With her great rapport with Councils and other consultants, any issues that may arise are soon resolved, smoothly and effortlessly.
Heading the team, she has cultivated a friendly yet professional atmosphere, where every member of that team, is willing to go the extra mile to achieve the best result.

Senior Building Designer & Director... Richard Hall, when not working under his banner of Spatial Oddity, assists Michelle in bringing the finer points of Design and Detailing to Lateral Building Designs. With his background in Steel Detailing and his subsequent Architectural studies, Richard believes every problem is an opportunity for something wonderful to be discovered.
